Welcome to One Marylebone's first official newsletter packed with venue updates, industry news and gossip, and great promotions to keep you reading!

We are delighted to have launched our new website. With so many amazing events and major developments taking place with the venue we needed a mechanism to speak directly to you. On here, you will find our new Preferred Caterers list for 2010. We have spent the last six months evaluating many caterers that have worked with us and have chosen an array of the UK’s leading organisations to suit a variety of budgets but maintaining quality at all times.

Look Back at 2009

Although most of us are delighted to see the back of last year and the world’s financial meltdown, some great things happened at One Marylebone. We came 2nd in Event Magazines Top 20 Venues...coming just behind Somerset House and ahead of the likes of The Brewery, The 02 and The Natural History Museum.  This proved that even as a smaller venue, compared to our ‘big brothers’, being flexible and attentive to suppliers and clients goes a long way (having a beautiful venue helps too!).

We were fortunate enough to hold some amazing parties last year – although not in any order, our Top 2 were The BFI’s closing party for the London Film Festival and QP Magazine’s Salon 2009, where there were over 16 million pounds worth of watches onsite!

One Marylebone is emerging as one of London’s premier wedding venues. We have seen a huge increase in weddings receptions, which has a lot to do with the venue gaining a Civil Partnership License. This means that clients can hold their special day all under one roof.  In April we are delighted to be hosting a wedding showcase arranged by Luella’s Boudoir and Cosmo Brides. The Future

We are really excited for the next 24 months – we have some exciting plans that include opening a private member’s club, creating a public sculpture park and major building works to reinstate the venue to its former architectural glory. Another exciting project we are involved with is the opening of our next venue 'One Mayfair', which appropriately is in Mayfair and a stones throw away from Selfridges!
